Vacancy: Lead Electrical Engineer

In the role of Lead Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and production of battery systems. You will have a coordinating role, overseeing the progress and quality of the entire process from A to Z. This involves reviewing designs, assessing technical feasibility, and providing advice based on these evaluations. Through this, you will elevate your colleagues and the department to a higher level.

Your responsibilities consist of two parts. Approximately two-thirds of your time will be spent as a Lead Engineer, and the remaining hours will be dedicated to being the Team Lead for Productions & Logistics. The allocation of these hours can be discussed, but we provide some guidelines below to give you an idea.

Lead Engineer (20-30 hours)

• You are responsible for developing and executing the engineering plan for all technical disciplines involved in the project, ensuring that the engineering process is carried out according to the schedule, objectives, and contractual requirements.
• You take ownership of periodic meetings between different technical disciplines to ensure smooth progress in the engineering process.
• You can quickly apply your design knowledge in a practical manner and present your expertise convincingly to colleagues and customers.
• You analyze processes, identify bottlenecks, and initiate and implement improvement proposals.
• You enjoy working collaboratively with others in a multidisciplinary team.
• You are adaptable and have a drive to learn every day, working with your colleagues to find innovative and smart energy solutions.
• You combine a passion for sustainability with a business-oriented mindset and take pleasure in working on commercial challenges.

Team Lead Production & Logistics (10-16 hours)

• Ensuring that your team achieves its objectives.
• Establishing and monitoring targets for the Technology team.
• Managing improvement projects.
• Conducting evaluation discussions (every 3 months).
• Participating in MT (Management Team) and department meetings.
• Being a point of contact for internal and external inquiries.

You should have considerable experience within the energy sector, but at the same time, you still enjoy bringing your ideas to life from start to finish (A to Z).

• 7+ years of experience as a (Lead) Electrical Engineer or similar role.
• Graduated in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field at the university (WO) or applied sciences (HBO) level.
• Proficiency in programming with C & C++.
• Experience with soldering (both large and small scale).
• Experience with PCB design and assembly.
• Familiarity with CAD and Eagle software.
• Proficiency in using Excel.

• You tackle challenging problems head-on, either independently or collaboratively with colleagues.
• You have a keen eye for efficient and modern design.
• You have experience with batteries, converters, and/or battery systems.
