Wattsun® x Boels

Need power for a construction or infrastructure project, or an event? At all Boels locations in Western Europe, you can rent the Wattsun Stack and sustainable, self-sufficient site cabins equipped with the Wattsun Solarkit. This collaboration highlights our mission to make sustainable energy mobile and accessible everywhere.

‘Orange is the new green’

With a focus on sustainable construction and event organization, Boels now rents out our innovative battery system as an alternative to polluting generators. This partnership offers professionals a flexible, modular energy system that meets their specific needs—without noise, fumes, or the use of fossil fuels. Harm Munsters, Manager Fleet & Maintenance at Boels, emphasizes the importance of this collaboration:
“We chose Wattsun because we were looking for a modular energy system for our customers. This system allows us to precisely match capacity and power to their needs. Orange is the new green, and this system fits that vision perfectly.”

Strengthened partnership through 100% emission-free site cabins

In addition to renting out the Wattsun Stack, Boels also offers emission-free, sustainable site cabins equipped with a smart solar panel system on the roof. Over the past two years, Wattsun has upgraded several Boels site cabins each week by installing high-quality solar panels that generate and directly store energy in battery modules. This innovative upgrade not only increases the sustainability of the cabins but also reduces reliance on external power sources—a key advantage for projects in locations without direct access to the grid.

A new standard in the rental industry

Through this collaboration, Wattsun and Boels are setting a new standard in the rental industry, where sustainability, flexibility, and efficiency go hand in hand to meet the growing demand for eco-friendly construction and event solutions.

Wattsun Stack combined with the Wattsun Solarkit

The successful collaboration between Wattsun and Boels in standalone rentals soon evolved into the next step: integrating the Wattsun Stack into Boels’ site huts. Over the past two years, Wattsun has been upgrading several site huts each week, transforming them into fully self-sufficient, emission-free workspaces. Thanks to a smart rooftop solar panel system and a built-in battery unit, these cabins are completely independent of external power sources.

This upgrade allows users to work on-site without the hassle of generators or extension cords. The energy generated during the day is stored directly in the Wattsun Stack and powers all electrical equipment inside the cabin. What’s more, the battery system can easily be detached and used separately outside the cabin for short-term fieldwork. The result: maximum flexibility with minimal environmental impact.
