Absolutely! We call this ‘stack charging’, and it’s one of the great features of our system. By connecting the Dock to mains power, you can also charge the Packs that are stacked on top of it. The average charging speed is around 750 W. Once the bottom Pack is full, the power is transferred to the next Pack above it using the silver-plated +/- contacts on the module.

During use, the stack discharges from top to bottom. This means the top Pack is fully depleted first before the one below it begins discharging. This makes it possible to ‘hotswap’ with our products. Simply remove the empty top Pack and stack a full one on top. That way, your system stays in continuous operation.

Sure! You can place the Pack on all our Wattsun Dock modules. The Wattsun Pack was developed with backward compatibility in mind. For example, with a Dock 3000, you can expand up to 11 kWh of capacity.

The output power from your Dock does not change. You remain limited to the output power of the Dock 2000, Dock 2000+, and Dock 3000. Do you need more power than the Dock 2000 or Dock 2000+ can provide? Then take a look at our Dock 3000.

If the Wattsun Dock and Pack(s) are continuously kept at 100% state of charge (SOC), it negatively affects the battery’s lifespan. To prevent this, there is an intelligent charging protocol for charging on Stack. After connecting the charger, the Wattsun Dock and Pack(s) will be charged to 100%. They will only be recharged once they have dropped below 92%.

De Wattsun Dock is afgesteld op langdurig gebruik tot en met 3000 W. Het maximale AC-uitgangsvermogen is 3250 W. Je vraagt dan wel het uiterste van de batterijcellen in de Wattsun Dock wat warmte als gevolg kan hebben. Om dit te ondervangen raden wij aan een Wattsun Pack bovenop de Dock te stapelen. Deze combinatie verdeeld de last op de accu.

Zeker weten! De Dock is de basis van de Stack, maar werkt perfect in zijn eentje. Met Packs breid je alleen de capaciteit uit, geen extra functionaliteiten.

Het is mogelijk om met de Ventus de Dock en/of Pack op te laden. Met 15 kWh aan batterijcapaciteit kun je zorgeloos apparatuur en dus ook jouw kleinere batterijsysteem opladen.

Of course! By stacking a Wattsun Pack on top of a Dock 2000, Dock 2000+ or the Dock 3000, it will be discharged from top to bottom. If you cannot afford to lose power and the top Wattsun Pack runs out, simply lift it off the Dock and replace it with a fully charged new Pack. Our intelligent control system will automatically resume discharging from the top. This way, you never run out of power!
