The challenge
The Red Cross Hospital recently introduced new bread buffet carts from AKB, equipped with high-quality bean machines from Animo. However, a good coffee machine requires a stable power supply and flexibility. Power outlets are not always nearby in the hospital, and loose cables or having to restart the machine every time are far from ideal. Generators are of course out of the question. The challenge was to develop a battery system that would be compact enough to fit inside the cart, while still delivering the right amount of power and capacity.
The solution: Wattsun S1
Our in-house R&D team designed an ultra-compact battery system specifically for the hospital, with all key components (charging port, power outlet, ventilation) placed on the front of the unit. This special version, named the Wattsun S1, can be easily installed anywhere. Thanks to its low weight and integrated handle, the S1 is also easy to move, giving the hospital the flexibility to charge the battery system either inside or outside the cart.
