Wattsun® Support
Yes. The Wattsun Ventus 12K can be charged from a standard 230 V mains outlet while providing a 400 V three phase output for your equipment.
This means you don’t need access to a permanent three phase connection to power 400 V tools and machinery. See the technical specifications for the corresponding charging times.
The Ventus is not designed to function as a home battery. It cannot connect to a fuse box and therefore does not integrate with fixed household installations.
Where the Ventus truly performs is in mobile and semi permanent use. On site projects, temporary power setups and situations where you need reliable energy without installation work. That is where the Ventus fits perfectly. Not as part of the fuse box system, but as a practical, flexible power solution for professionals who need to stay adaptable.
In a residential home, the power grid is protected by a residual-current device (RCD). However, this only functions properly with a reliable protective earth (PE).
When using a mobile power solution such as the Ventus, it is often difficult to implement a proper protective earth.
Nonetheless, the NEN1010 standard requires ensuring the safety of people working with the AC generator. The standard mandates the creation of a floating network system (IT system) in combination with an insulation monitor.
The insulation monitor ensures that the 230Vac is automatically disconnected if the insulation resistance becomes dangerously low.
The insulation resistance refers to the resistance between the 230Vac and the touchable parts of the device, such as the metal casing.

Yes. Using the touchscreen, you can easily adjust the charging current from the mains. Choose between 5 A, 8 A, 12 A or 16 A.
Wattsun Ventus 12K
Yes. Using the touchscreen, you can easily adjust the maximum charging power in 500 W increments. This allows you to match the charging speed to the available mains supply, ensuring the Wattsun Ventus 12K never draws more power than the connected electrical installation can provide.
The Ventus comes standard with swivel casters. The wheelbase can also be swapped for off road wheels. In addition, the Ventus can easily be used as a fixed installation without wheels. Contact us to discuss the available options.
Wattsun Ventus 6000
Yes, absolutely. Thanks to the various charging inputs on the front of the Ventus, you can charge the battery system simultaneously using solar power and mains power. Achieve a combined charging power of up to 7200 W.
Wattsun Ventus 12K
The Wattsun Ventus 12K features multiple charging inputs on the front of the unit. Easily charge the battery system using solar power, mains power, or in hybrid mode in combination with a generator.
It is possible to charge your Wattsun Dock and/or Pack using the Ventus. With 15 kWh of battery capacity on the Ventus 6000 and 20 kWh on the Ventus 12K, you have more than enough energy to power your equipment while simultaneously charging your smaller battery system.
Wattsun Ventus 6000
The Ventus can be moved in two ways. Thanks to the interchangeable wheels and the handles on top of the enclosure, you can easily roll the unit from one location to another. Alternatively, the Ventus can be lifted using the lifting eye on top of the battery system.
Wattsun Ventus 12K
The Ventus can be moved in three ways. Thanks to the interchangeable wheels and the handles on top of the enclosure, you can easily roll the unit from one location to another. It can also be lifted using the designated lifting eyes on top of the battery system or transported with a forklift using the integrated fork pockets.
