1. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use
A Wattsun battery system can be used both indoors and outdoors. These batteries operate quietly, cleanly, and without emissions, making them safe to use anywhere at the push of a button and without supervision. Starting a polluting generator indoors is of course not an option.
2. Much quieter operation
While a fuel generator produces a lot of noise (between 70 and 90 decibels), a battery system operates almost silently. That is ideal when working in locations where quiet is desired, such as in cities, at events, or in nature reserves. You will also notice the difference on construction sites or at your regular workplace: more peace, less noise. Much more pleasant and healthier.
3. Lower operating costs
Fuel for a generator is expensive and unpredictable, and even when idle it consumes fuel. Depending on the type (petrol or Aspen), you quickly pay between €1.30–1.60 (petrol) and €4.00–6.00 (Aspen) per kWh. A Wattsun battery system can be charged via the grid or with solar panels, which means you pay an average of only €0.35 per kWh, or even have completely free self-generated power. This saves a lot on energy costs.
4. Compact and expandable
No matter how small a generator is, it is always bulky and heavy. With the compact Wattsun battery modules, you can create a power source on-site much more easily. The batteries are even portable. Expand the capacity easily by stacking modules, so you take exactly the amount of power you need for your job. This way, you add capacity and will never run out of power again. You can even ‘hot-swap’ modules during use by replacing an empty battery with a full one.
5. No maintenance, no worries
A generator requires regular maintenance: changing oil, replacing filters, refilling fuel, and preventing malfunctions. With a battery system, that is a thing of the past. You hardly need to do any maintenance, only check the battery status. Just plug it in and it does what it needs to do. That saves time, money, and frustration.
5. Emission-free and future-proof
More and more clients and municipalities require emission-free operation. A fuel generator emits CO₂ and nitrogen oxides, while a battery system does not. With batteries, you work quietly and cleanly, which is not only better for the environment but also helps to comply with stricter regulations.
6. Reliable and immediately ready for use
A battery system always starts. You do not need to pull a cord, check fuel, or wait for a warm-up period. Moreover, a battery system such as the Stack delivers instantly stable power, without fluctuations or interruptions that could damage sensitive equipment.
7. Smart combination with solar energy
More and more users charge their battery system with solar panels, even on-site. For example, on a site cabin or with flexible, portable solar panels. This way, you generate your own power and use it whenever you need it. It makes you less dependent on the grid and on fossil fuels. For many mobile applications, this is the most sustainable way to work.
8. Instant backup power when you need it
A Wattsun battery system can easily be placed between the grid and your equipment, so you are immediately provided with backup power in case of an outage. The system switches quickly and reliably, without the equipment shutting down. A traditional generator cannot do this; it only delivers power after it has started and cannot seamlessly take over during a sudden interruption.
